Ceramics on the East End

It was kind of a grey summer day, so Toshiki and I decided to roam around a bit on the east end of Long Island. We had gotten a notice that 5 potters were having open studios,in the East Hampton area, so we stopped by three of them. Our favorite was Eve Behar ceramics studio, pix below of Eve, and then one with some other customers.

Toshiki had been searching for some large bowls to serve Japanese noodles in, and he found these which fit right in our kitchen, and will probable hold tomatoes for awhile.(This pix doesn't really do justice to the subtle coloration of the bowls, unfortunately)
We also headed up to The Sag Harbor Gallery to see the work of a ceramic artist I admire, Matt Nolen. Unfortunately, the gallery was closed on a sunday afternoon, so call ahead if you want to go.
